Data Protection, IT Security, and Knowledge Server (Project B/2)

This project supplements the work of project B/1. It developes guidelines for the protection of sensitive data within the Competence Network and develops the secure communication infrastructure needed for the guideline implementation.

It is based at the Institute for Medical Biometry, Epidemiology and Informatics (IMBEI) of the Johannes Gutenberg-University in Mainz where the Deutsche Kinderkrebsregister (German Register for Cancer in Children) is also located. The project closely cooperates with the Telematik-Plattform für die medizinischen Forschungsnetze (Telematic Platform for the Medical Research Networks) (TMF).
